ASTM A106 schedule 40 seamless carbon steel pipe

ASTM A106 carbon steel pipe means a carbon steel pipe manufactured seamlessly by hot rolled or cold drawn (rolled). Schedule 40 is a representation of pipe wall thickness, indicating medium wall thickness. ASTM A106 schedule 40 Seamless carbon steel pipe is commonly used in high temperature applications, therefore, it can be used to transport fluids (water, oil and gas, mud), is an important material in the mining industry.

Features and advantages
1. Material and performance: ASTM A106 seamless steel pipe is usually made of carbon steel, such as grade A, B or C, of which grade B is widely used.
Class A: low strength, good endurance, suitable for general working conditions.
Grade B: Moderate strength and pressure resistance, widely evaluated in industrial fields.
Grade C: The highest strength, suitable for more pornographic high-pressure environments.
2. High temperature resistance: ASTM A106 steel pipe is especially suitable for pipelines in high temperature and high pressure environments, and is often used in boilers, boilers and high pressure pipelines.
3. Good mechanical properties: its tensile strength and yield strength are high, can withstand the increased pressure burden, while maintaining good endurance.
4. Seamless process: the whole steel pipe has no weld, avoiding the structural problems caused by the weld, while ensuring the uniformity and stability of the internal and external walls.

Typical application
Oil and gas pipelines: Pipelines for high pressure crude oil, natural gas and refined products.
Industrial boilers and wharves: Piping steam, water or other media in high temperature environments.
Chemical field: Pipes used for corrosive media and high temperature occasions.
Equipment: as part of high-pressure piping and thermal cycle systems.

Construction: Structural pipes for pressure and high support strength.
