Stainless steel elbow
A
stainless steel elbow is a pipe fitting used to change the direction of fluid in a piping system. It is widely used in industries that require high corrosion resistance, durability and strength. Stainless steel elbows are usually available in the form of 45°, 90° and 180° angles to meet different pipe layout and design needs.
Stainless steel elbow production process
The manufacture of stainless steel elbows usually includes the following process steps:
1. Raw material preparation: Select high-quality stainless steel pipes or plates, and test chemical composition and mechanical properties.
2. Forming process:
(1) Cold push process: push directly through the mold at room temperature, suitable for small diameter elbow.
(2) Hot push process: push shape under high temperature conditions, suitable for large diameter elbows.
(3) stamping process: the stainless steel sheet is welded after stamping, which is suitable for thicker or special size elbows.
(4) Finishing: including heat treatment, weld grinding, polishing and pickling passivation to improve the surface quality and mechanical properties of the elbow.
(5) Quality inspection: Through size inspection, appearance inspection and ultrasonic, X-ray and other non-destructive testing to ensure product quality.
(6) Packaging and delivery: after cleaning, packaging with anti-corrosion materials and marking specifications.
Stainless steel elbow features
Corrosion resistance:
Stainless steel (such as 304, 316 and other materials) has excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, suitable for use in harsh environments.
Durability:
High strength, good wear resistance, long service life.
High temperature resistance:
Can withstand high temperature environment, suitable for conveying steam, hot liquid or high temperature gas.
Hygienic:
The surface is smooth and easy to clean, meeting the hygiene requirements of the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
Strong adaptability:
Available in a variety of materials, sizes, thicknesses and finishes, it can be customized to meet specific needs.
Common type of stainless steel elbow
By Angle:
45° elbow: Used to achieve minor changes in direction.
90° elbow: Used for vertical fluid change.
180° elbow: Used for U-shaped fluid direction reversal.
Classification by bending radius:
Short radius (SR) elbow: Small bending radius, suitable for space limited applications.
Long radius (LR) elbow: Smoother fluid flow with less pressure loss for systems that require higher fluid efficiency.
By connection type:
Butt welding elbow: directly connected with the pipeline through welding, solid connection, good sealing.
Socket welding elbow: Used for small diameter pipe, pipe inserted into the elbow before welding.
Threaded elbow: For threaded pipe, easy to install and remove.
Application of stainless steel elbow
Industrial pipeline: widely used in oil, natural gas, chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries, for the transport of corrosive liquids or gases.
Food and beverage industry: Due to its high hygiene, it is used for fluid transport in the production process.
Water supply and drainage systems: can be used for high strength and corrosion resistance requirements of water supply or waste water pipelines.
High temperature environment: used in boilers, heat exchangers, steam pipelines and other occasions that need to withstand high temperatures.
Building and Structural support: As steering fittings in building piping systems to ensure smooth fluid flow.
